The global configuration for E-Receptionist includes the following general properties: - Call timeout - The number of seconds to wait before regarding an outgoing call as unanswered. If a call is unanswered, E-Receptionist will try the remaining numbers in the list until all have been exhausted.
- Primary telephone number - An internal extension number that serves as the main telephone number for the site. Zero-length calls will be placed to this number in order to interrupt the 'busy' tone which normally sounds when the callee hangs up. Must be set to a valid number.
- Additional extensions - Used to configure a series of named extension numbers which can be used by data providers. For example, the ContactsLaw staff directory data provider looks for the names of member groups in this list and, if there is a match, uses the number as an additional fallback in case the member is not available.
